Note to The Parents

‘Even if the school is very good and the teachers are well qualified, without hard work of the student, and co-peration of the parents, it will be of no avail.’ So the school greatly requires the co-operation of the parents for its effective functioning.

1. Parents are requested to look into the school diary of their child daily and see that the lessons and home-works assigned for the next day are done. See that your child devotes 2-4 hours (according to their class) daily to self-study, to learn their lessons and to do their home assignments.

2. Remarks recorded in the school diary should be seen and countersigned regularly.

3. Parents/Guardians are expected to do their part to encourage their wards to cultivate good habits, neatness, punctuality, regularity and discipline.

4. Criticism of your child’s teacher or his/her school in the presence of the child should be scrupulously avoided, because it causes the students to lose respect for his/her teacher, with the consequent failure to learn from him/her. If you have a legitimate complaint bring to the notice of the Principal, without the fear of reprisal.

5. The Principal can be interviewed between 9.30 a.m. and 10.15 a.m. on working days or by special appointment.

6. Parents / Guardians and others may not see the students or interview the teachers during the school hours without the permission of the Principal.

7. The progress of a pupil is tested by means of Bi-monthly Tests and Terminal Examinations. The result of these are communicated to the Parents by means of answer scripts and Progress Reports. The parents are requested to sign and return them promptly to the school.

8. Students who are absent from examinations will not be given a second chance for re-examinations.

9. Parents are asked not to approach the staff to engage private tuitions for their wards
